Taylor and Nick have known each other for most of their lives. They became friends when they were in the same second grade class, and remained friends through elementary, middle, and high school. They finally started dating at the beginning of their junior year.

Eight years later, Nick invited Taylor to lunch at their favorite restaurant. As they walked around downtown Kannapolis, Nick stopped in front of the historic Gem Theatre. Taylor looked up and saw, “Will you marry me?” on the marquee. She said, “yes,” of course! When they got to the restaurant, Taylor was surprised to find that Nick had invited a group of their close friends and family members to help them celebrate.

Friends and family gathered to celebrate Nick and Taylor again on November 16, 2024.
The couple chose The Venues at Langtree in Mooresville, NC, for the wedding. After a traditional ceremony, guests were treated to cocktails and music by a string quartet in the Pavilion.
The reception started with formal introductions of the couple’s parents, the bridal party and, finally, the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Pepper. Nick and Taylor shared their first dance to, “Is that alright?” by Lady Gaga. Taylor then danced with her father and Nick with his mother.

Taylor included her whole family in the reception activities. The bride’s father welcomed everyone with a toast; her two brothers gave the blessing; and Taylor honored her mother by giving her the bouquet.

After dinner, K2’s DJ Stephen dialed up the energy with a mix of hits from the ‘80s, ‘90s and 2000s, making sure to include songs that appealed to all ages. Taylor and Nick had given Stephen their input on what kind of music they wanted played at the reception. He skillfully blended their favorite styles and genres with on-the-spot requests he received from guests throughout the evening – and the dance floor stayed full until the party ended!

As their guests moved outside for the couple’s grand exit, Taylor and Nick shared one last dance to Chris Janssen’s “Holdin’ Her.” As they left the Pavilion, they were greeted by their friends and families, waving sparklers and wishing them the best as they started their new life together.
