Tar Heel Love Story: Laura & Neal Rock the Old Well Ballroom

Laura and Neal’s wedding reception at The Carolina Inn’s Old Well Ballroom was just lovely. These two Tar Heels celebrated their love story in a way that felt both elegant and fun.

Neal proposed on Jekyll Island’s Driftwood Beach at sunrise. They spent the rest of the weekend soaking it all in, which is precisely the kind of relaxed vibe they brought to their wedding day.

For the reception, K2’s DJ Ben kept the energy just right. Their first dance was to a cover of Blink-182’s “First Date,” but the real fun began when the original track started playing and everyone joined them on the dance floor. Their music vibe was all about those ’80s and ’90s hits mixed with today’s best, a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

And we loved hearing what Laura had to say about working with us: “I loved working with Amy at K2 Productions! She was responsive and made me feel like we would be taken care of on our wedding day. We were assigned to Ben, who was responsive, reliable, and stuck to all of our music suggestions while totally controlling the mood of the room and dance floor! We had so many compliments on our music playlist.”
