Evan + McKenzie

We love December weddings and this particular December wedding in Summerfield was no different. We had a wonderful time providing DJ, videography and up lighting for Evan and McKenzie’s wedding and reception at their private residence. They chose our popular Ultimate Wedding Day package which bundled all three services.

How they met
They met in a graduate school class at NC State, where they were both pursuing a masters in biology. When Kenzie saw him she thought he was super interesting and loved his crazy shirts, but he was mysterious since he didn’t talk in class at all. Fast forward a few months and quarantine hit. Classes all went online and they both went home to stay with their families, McKenzie in NC, and Evan in AZ. They started chatting on Instagram and eventually had their first date via Zoom. After a second 4 hour date on Zoom, they knew they were in love.
First Dance
McKenzie and Evan chose the song “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole for their first dance as husband and wife.
