When the bride and the groom both play musical instruments, music is bound to play a key role in their wedding. That was the case with Carlisle and Cameron. The couple was very intentional about the music they chose for every phase of their special day—from the ceremony to the cocktail hour, to the dinner, to the reception—and they trusted K2 Weddings to bring it all together.
Guests gathered for the event at the McAlister-Leftwich House, located in the picturesque Fisher Park Historic District in Greensboro, North Carolina. Carlisle and Cameron made the ceremony uniquely theirs by including a handfasting, a traditional Celtic ceremony where the hands of the bride and groom are bound together to symbolize their unity.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and classical music.
The reception started with formal introductions of the bridal party and the newlyweds, who entered to New Order’s “Blue Monday.” After Cameron and Carlisle shared their first dance, the bride danced with her father, and the groom with his mother.
The couple selected ‘80s first wave and ‘90s alternative as the background music during dinner. After Carlisle’s father gave a heartfelt champagne toast to the couple, K2 Weddings DJ Jason invited guests to hit the dance floor—and kept them there for the rest of the evening with a high-energy playlist that included all the couple’s favorites.
The evening ended with Carlisle and Cameron’s grand exit on the venue’s front stairs, set to Natalie Cole’s “This will be (an Everlasting love).” Guests blew bubbles as the couple left to start their new life together.
