This sweet couple chose our Ultimate Wedding Day package for their beautiful April wedding in Mocksville, NC at the lovely Boxwood Estate. That is one of our most popular packages as it combines DJ, videography and up lighting at a discounted rate. They decorated with shades of steel blue, gray, navy and gold and everything was simply stunning.
How They Met
Daimeyon & Rachael met in downtown Winston-Salem on St. Patrick’s Day 2017. Rachael was a senior at Wake Forest University. She was downtown with some friends, and Daimeyon was downtown with some friends from the fire department. They started speaking initially because their friends had hit it off, but two weeks later they went out to dinner and never looked back.
The Proposal
Daimeyon proposed on a group trip with friends to Sandals Ochi in Jamaica in August of 2019. They were out to dinner at a restaurant and the ring box came out on the dessert tray. He got down on one knee while Rachael was mid mouthful of dessert. The whole restaurant started clapping after Rachael said yes.
First Dances
Rachael & Daimeyon chose the song “Best Part” by Daniel Caesar featuring H.E.R. for their first dance as husband and wife. Then Rachael danced with her brother to the song “Lean On Me” by Bill Withers. Next, Daimeyon danced with his mom to “A Song For Mama” by Boyz II Men.
The Reception
DJ Q had the danced floor packed playing a mix of Top 40, Hip Hop, Modern Country and R&B.
