Haley and Ethan met through mutual friends who thought they would hit it off and introduced the couple. The friends were right—Haley and Ethan had a lot in common and started dating. Riding motorcycles was one of the interests they shared, and they especially enjoyed riding on the Blue Ridge Parkway. On one of their Parkway rides, they stopped to admire the view at one of the scenic overlooks, and Ethan took the opportunity to propose. Haley said, “Yes,” of course, and they started planning their big day.
The wedding took place on a beautiful September Saturday at The Vintage Oak Estate in Mt. Airy, North Carolina. The ceremony was held on the grounds under the oaks, with the bridesmaids in pale blue dresses and the groomsmen wearing cowboy hats.
The guests moved to the Greenhouse for cocktails. As the reception began, the bridal party entered to Beyonce’s, “Crazy In Love.” The couple were then introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Ethan Cave and shared their first dance to, “There’s the Sun,” by Zach Top. More special dances followed — Haley with her father and Ethan with his mother.
The Matron of Honor, father of the bride and a cousin of the groom gave heartfelt toasts to the couple. After dinner, K2 Weddings’ DJ Sean got the guests onto the dancefloor with an eclectic mix of songs ranging from Country to R&B, including songs from the couple’s own playlist and requests from the guests.
At the end of the evening, Haley and Ethan made their grand exit to Stevie Wonder’s, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered.” Their friends and loved ones lined the walkway, holding sparklers and cheering them on—the perfect sendoff for the newlyweds.
